Greater Arlington Lions have been around for 50 years! In the past 10-12 years we have given over $20,000 in scholarsips, over $5,000 to both Mission Arlington and Arlington Charities, helped provide over 2,000 AISD students with eye exams and glasses, given over $15,000 to AISD music and sports providing Arlington and its students with assistance. Come to a meeting and get one of our 50th Anniversary pins! If you would like more information on our club please click on any of the members above, give us a call or come to lunch and join us. NEW NEWS: In the summer of 2008 the Greater Arlington Lions Club has begun a new leaf. We will start working at the Bingo Hall on 303 as a fundraiser Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights. We are also considering having the club meet one Thursday a month for dinner in North Arlington to accommodate the interest of several inquiries. Some history: Back in 2004-2005 was our last season the Greater Arlington Lions volunteered at the Cravens Field concession stands for the Lamar & Martin High School football games! The club's hard work resulted in a great fundraiser that allowed us to buy soccer goals for Lamar, support the music programs at both schools, support the sports programs at all the AISD high schools in some fashion and support our local charitable efforts as well as the good works of Lions International. We want to thank the people of our community for their outstanding support of our club at these concession stands for the past 47 years.

The 2005 - 2006 school year also gives us the opportunity to provide free eye exams and eye glasses to local students in need at the Lions Club Vision Clinics. The Greater Arlington Lions Club is very proud of our association with the local school nurses who provide invaluable assistance to us in our efforts with the Vision Clinics.

The Greater Arlington Lions Club made a generous contribution to Lions International's hurrican relief efforts.

The Greater Arlington Lions Club has also supported the rebuilding effort of the Creative Playground in Arlington. The result of this community effort will be a wonderful a wonderful place for kids and families for years to come.
The Greater Arlington Lions are proudly serving our local community!
